She was just placed in the nursing home a few months ago, after living on her own to that point. Pretty impressive that these ol' girls can do that for so long, I think. I know it's tough.. but realistically I think most places give good care. And I don't worry about my Grandma so much now (she nearly burned her house down earlier this year). My mom is 74 and has Alzheimers. My dad passed away this July. We have had to take my mom away from her home and now lives in Texas with my sister and husband. It was and is so hard as she still thinks my dad is alive and that they will be HOME soon. I understand the anguish and heartache you must feel. I dread beyond words the thought of my mom reaching the point of not knowing me. There is a comfort in knowing that "others" understand and are going through it as well and we can comfort and be there for each other. God's grace helps us. God's love supports us and gives us the courage to go through each day. My prayers go up for all your family and for ease through this very tough situation. You will be in my thoughts.Tanyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01618178910722598005noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8747380616247977047.post-12095792759511678512010-09-09T21:16:12.019-05:002010-09-09T21:16:12.019-05:00Oh bless your heart!
