Do Not Grow Weary
Sometimes I feel as if this verse was written just for me. I do get tired of trying to be "good." I get tired of trying to be the "bigger person." I get tired of biting my tongue when I just want to scream at someone. I get tired of feeling like I am always doing something for someone else, when it doesn't seem like anybody does anything just for me.
Imagine how Jesus felt. Imagine how He walked this earth knowing that He was the answer to all of the world's problem, and yet He was rejected. He was cursed, ran out of towns, denied by His own followers, betrayed by a disciple, beaten, crucified. And even through all of that He asked God to forgive the very people who had treated Him so cruelly.
"Lord, today I ask that You help me to be more like You. Give me patience, give me strength, and help me not to grow weary in living this amazing life You have blessed me with. I know You have a reward waiting for me that is beyond anything I can even imagine, if I can just cling to You, serve You, and not give up. Today I give every circumstance in my life to You. And I trust You to handle everything. Forgive me for all the times I've failed, all the times I've doubted, all the times I've tried to handle something on my own instead of laying it at Your feet. I love You Jesus. Amen"

Great News!!!
I have to share with you that Thomas, the little boy who had heart surgery, is doing very, very well. Please keep those prayers coming, as he has a ways to go, but the doctors are hoping he will be home from the hospital in a week and a half or so!!
And, my cousin Chris had surgery yesterday and everything went GREAT! The surgery wasn't nearly as involved as they anticipated! Again, please keep the prayers coming that his recovery is speedy and complete.
I want to thank you all so very much for your prayers for these two. It means so much to me when I read your comments letting me know that you are praying. God DOES hear our prayers, and He always answers. I am thanking Him for these answered prayers.
The weather has been so nice here in Central Missouri. It was in the 60s yesterday, and supposed to be in the 50s today. I'll take every day of that. We have had such a mild winter. COME ON SPRING!!!!!

More Prayers Needed for Thomas
Thomas, the little boy who had heart surgery last week, has had some setbacks. I don't know the exact details, but I know that this little boy needs a healing touch from Jesus. And his parents need lifted up too. I cannot imagine how physically and emotionally drained they must be.
So right now I would ask that you join me in praying for this family. Our God is an awesome God, and absolutely NOTHING is too difficult for Him. The prayer of faith SHALL heal the sick.
Please agree with me for healing for Thomas, and for strength and encouragement for his parents, in Jesus name.

A Good Report
Thank you, thank you, thank you for praying for little Thomas. He was in surgery on Wednesday for ten hours. The doctors replaced a heart valve, repaired an artery, and put in a pacemaker. The doctors are saying the surgery went well and today, nearly 24 hours post surgery, Thomas' vital signs are very good, and the doctors are beginning to wean him off some of the medication.
He is still in critical condition, and has a long road ahead of him. But, I am believing that he has the worst behind him.
Thanks also for your prayers for my cousin, Chris. I just learned that Chris will be having surgery on February 22nd, and I would appreciate your continued prayers for him.
Isn't God good? So many people are praying, and sometimes they don't even personally know the person they are praying for, and God hears all those prayers. And He answers. So thank you again for all your prayers. Feel free to comment on any of my posts to leave a prayer request, and I promise I will boldly approach the throne and lift your needs before our Lord. He is good, all the time!!!

Prayers Requested
Boy, it sure seems like lately I have asked my blogging friends to agree with me in prayer on a lot of things. Aren't you thankful that the amazing God we serve is never too busy to hear our prayers? Thank you Lord.
Today I have two prayer requests for you. The first is for the little boy, Thomas, that I have requested prayers for before. You may recall that Thomas was born with a heart defect, and he has had multiple surgeries in his short life (he will be two years old next week). Well, Thomas had to have a heart procedure last week, and it did not go well. So tomorrow the doctors are going to operate on Thomas and put an artificial valve in his heart. This surgery has only been performed five times on someone as young as Thomas. The doctors estimate that the surgery will take 10-12 hours. So if you would, please be praying for Thomas tomorrow and for his parents. I cannot imagine the fear and worry they must be feeling.
I would also request prayer for a cousin of mine name Chris. Chris is in his mid-30s, is married and has two small childen. He has battled Crohns disease for many years, again, having multiple surgeries. Chris is in need of yet another surgery to attempt to repair a "pouch" that the doctors created to avoid his having to have his colon removed. Unfortunately, his body is full of infection, and the doctors cannot operate until the infection is under control.
My friends I would ask that you agree with me in prayer for healing for Thomas and for Chris. They are, in completely different ways, both very, very ill. But I know that God is in control. And I know that His Word tell us in James 5:16 that "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." That tells me that when we who are made righteous by the blood of Jesus Christ pray, that God hears us. That our prayers make a difference. Today I am asking God to heal these two, and I ask, as Jesus did, for God's perfect will.
I appreciate your agreeing with me in prayer. God bless you.

Really???
Really?? I mean, it's still just February. Spring is a long way off, but by my back steps those little green shoots are coming up out of the ground and growing every day. I can't believe Easter Lilies are starting to grow. I am afraid they are going to FREEZE and then I won't have any Easter Lilies when Easter really does roll around.
We are still having a VERY mild winter here in Central Missouri. Chance of some rain mixed with snow for tomorrow night, but for Missouri in February that is NOT a big deal.
We have been so blessed with this mild, mild weather. Thinking (and hoping) that maybe that old groundhog was WRONG!!!!!
Hope you are having FANTASTIC weather in your neck of the woods!!!!!
