I agree with this saying, but one thing is missing. Jesus.
Knowing Jesus is the only way to a happy life. The other sentiments are nice, but they aren't eternal. Jesus is eternal.
Hebrews 12:1-2 says: "Therefore
we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let
us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our
faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross,
despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of
God."
So on this cold snowy January, look to Jesus. He wants to be your EVERYTHING. Trust Him.
Such a great truth! True joy comes only from knowing Christ intimately!! What a wonderful gift for those who receive Him!! Found you through Farming on Faith! Oh, and I will pray for your sweet friend who just lost her hubby. We're almost the same age, and I cannot imagine.
