I'm Leavin' On A Jet Plane!!!

Saturday morning I'm flying from St. Louis to California.  When I get off that plane my beautiful daughter will be waiting for me!

I can't wait to see that beautiful face.  Saturday will be four weeks and three days since they headed west for their two-year "California Adventure" as our son-in-law finishes his time in the U.S. Marine Corps (FREEDOM ISN'T FREE!)

They live about halfway between San Diego and Los Angeles.  Since I'm flying into Los Angeles I told them one of my "Bucket List" items is to see the Hollywood sign.  So I'm hoping we can do a drive by!!!

In case you're wondering why I'm flying into Los Angeles . . . I couldn't find a flight that landed in San Diego before 4:00 or 5:00 p.m. and I don't want to waste a day!!!

I'll be staying with them until Wednesday, then flying up to Oakland to spend a few days with my beautiful cousin and her family before I fly home to good old Missouri.

I would appreciate prayers for a safe trip out there and back, and for God's Light to shine through me while I'm away. I want my life to bring glory and honor to Him.

So I'll be back week after next with stories to tell and pictures to show!!  Stay tuned!!!

And if you could, please pray for good health for me.  I finally went to urgent care yesterday after being sick for 7 days.  I have a sinus infection and have just felt horrible.  The Z-Pak and the steroid pack are helping and I'm a little better today, but I want to be 100% when that plane lands in California!

Thank you all for your prayers!!!

  2. Take care sister. I know you'll have a fun time because He is there with you wherever you go. The only thing I pray is that you guys won't get stuck in traffic! Sinus issues are always nasty. I had just gone to an ENT doctor because that's my problem....allergy! It helped me when I used those ear plugs to equalize your ear pressure so you won't have ear aches especially if you're recovering from sinusitis. God bless and may the Lord bless you and your family always.

  7. Oh, I'm so excited for you! I'm a wee bit late in seeing your post - I've been without internet for FOUR weeks since moving to our new home, but I know just what it's like for you, missing your dear newly-married daughter. I cannot WAIT to see our Catherine (hopefully, in about 3 weeks... Yay!). Every blessing for your trip. Look forward to catching up properly with all your news now that I'll have internet connection again
