Cole Henley Griffith
A few weeks ago I told you about a very special day in my life -- February 15, 1996, the day our beautiful daughter, Alex, was born. Well today, I am going to share another very special day with you, March 5, 1993. That was the day God gave us our son, Cole. It was a long day for both of us. Early morning induced labor (ugh), long day of very little progress in dilation (I think I made it to a "3"), a little tiny heart that stopped beating (praise God he is perfectly normal), an emergency c-section, and at 5:45 p.m. God blessed me with the most awesome son any mother could ever have.
We are so proud of Cole. He is a good student, a leader in his school, a Christian young man. He loves working on our farm. He is a hard worker, respectful to his dad and I, the kind of son any parent would be pleased to call his own. And on top of all that, he's just pretty darn cute.
So today, Cole, I say to you that I can't believe you are 17 years old. I love you tremendously, and am so thankful to God for allowing you to be my son. My prayer for you is that you always put God first in your life, and that God will pour our his Spirit upon you in a mighty way. I love you so very much and am so proud of you!

Happy Birthday ~Cole.
ReplyDeleteI just love to celebrate birthdays at our home. I can't believe just how fast time goes!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Happy Birthday, Cole! Givin' your mama a hard time in the delivery room and then giving her a scare! But I suppose you've been doing that for years... falling out of trees, off tractors, breaking arms, eating frogs, collecting bugs...
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to hear about kids that are a blessing. It's really unstettling to watch the news and it's filled with kids doing the wrong things. I believe we should be hearing about what is right with our youth and young folks. Bravo for helping him reach his potential.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Cole (a few days late). My mom's bday is March 6! What a scary delivery story; I bet YOUR heart almost stopped in fear!
ReplyDeleteYou have a lot to be proud of him for!
