Better, But Not Well

My mom has been at my sister's since last Saturday.

And she's better, but a long way from well.

She is able to get the protein shakes down, but continues to struggle with eating.

She can eat "real" food, but doesn't eat nearly enough.
Without the protein shakes we would be right back where we started.   We've tried appetite stimulants but honestly can't tell any difference at all.

She is still pretty weak and she still needs to gain several pounds just to be back to where she was post-chemo, which is still thin.

I don't believe there is any way my mom is ready to be back home and on her own.  She is too weak.  She has a long way to go.

We have prayed and prayed and prayed.

We need Jesus to heal her.

She needs your prayers.

Thank you so much.

  3. I'm praying for your precious mother that she regains her appetite and her strength. It's good that she's drinking the protein drinks and hopefully soon she'll feel up to eating more, too. Take care.

  4. It's a blessing that she has her children to care for her and monitor a crucial need. Joining you in your petitions sister and that may the Lord strengthen her and increase her appetite. I pray that there are no lingering side effects from the meds she took. Stay strong sister with the power God gives.

  5. Father God, we thank you for Robin and for the prayers she has prayed for her dear mother. We join her in prayer today to see new refreshing changes and big results to manifest in Donna's health today. We ask you in child-like trust and faith believing you for healing to continue. and that every day strength would come into this woman who has made progress through a time of struggle and is fairly worn out. We ask for her physical improvement into full health, to come.
We are thankful for all You have done, and we trust You will continue to move in behalf of this family that look to you for their need to be met. You are a wonderful Father that loves and cares for us. Our hope is in what You can do. Our prayer is that You will do far above all we can think or ask You, Lord Jesus. We look at Who you are, rather than these natural circumstances, because we know You are a Healing Lord to us. We believe Your word. We believe in answered prayer. Nothing is too hard for You! Amen
